Are you dreaming of a romantic date like the one from the movies at the skating rink near the Rockefeller Center in New York, or do you simply want to spend time actively with your family on a sunny winter day? There are plenty of ice rinks and climatic skating venues with unique sceneries and lighting in Krakow.<\/p>\n
Where to go for a bit of fresh-air winter fun? A place that is particularly popular with the inhabitants of Krakow and the visitors is the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre\u2019s Skating Rink at al. Jana Paw\u0142a II, in the very heart of the Nowa Huta District, and the Tauron Arena Krakow Skating Rink (ul. Stanis\u0142awa Lema) with a catering zone and many attractions for kids and adults alike. Closer to the city centre, you can find great ice rink fun at the Ice Park Krakow \u2013 the biggest skating rink of this type in Poland \u2013 in the Jordan Park at ul. Reymonta, or at the ice rink near the Nowak-Jeziora\u0144ski Square (near the Galeria Krakowska Mall). If you prefer indoor skating rinks, an interesting option is the Cracovia skating rink at ul. If skating is not your cup of tea, we have another piece of good news for you \u2013 in Krakow, you can practise cross-country skiing to your heart\u2019s content. With cross-country skiing trails laid out by the City Greenery Administration you can (weather allowing) enjoy several charming routes, including the trails through the B\u0142onia Park, Polish Aviators\u2019 Park, G\u00f3rka Pychowicka woods, or the Skotniki Nature Reserve.<\/p>\n
Sleighing enthusiasts cannot complain either, as the capital of Lesser Poland is the place to find all kinds of smaller and bigger sleighing hills. With saucer sleighs, you can go crazy e.g. at the Krakus Mound, in the Polish Aviators\u2019 Park, in the Zielony Jar (Green Ravine) Park, on the hills near the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre, in the Planty Mistrzejowickie and Planty Bie\u0144czyckie Parks, and in many other Krakow parks.<\/p>\n
The perfect skiing or snowboarding pistes from your dreams will not be easy to find in Krakow itself, but its vicinity is something else altogether! The ski resorts in My\u015blenice, Podstolice, Siepraw, Szklana G\u00f3ra, or Kasina are all within 50 km from Krakow and they all promise snow craziness. If you venture a bit further down south, you find a real cornucopia of pistes, including the whole Podhale (Polish Highlands) region.<\/p>\n
You prefer peaceful walks to winter sports? A perfect spot for a family trip is the phenomenal Garden of Lights, which \u2013 starting from 26 October 2023 \u2013 returns yet again to amaze us with light shows. This year, the multicolour exhibition takes us to the land of the Smurfs! In the evenings, all the magical mazes, tunnels, interactive games, music, enchanting holiday scenery and romantic elements captivate with an explosion of colours, making everybody feel like they are in a fairy tale.<\/p>\n
Winter has its undeniable charm, however, event the greatest sports and fresh air activity enthusiasts will need some warmth after a while. The best way for blissful relaxation are Termy Krakowskie (Krakow Thermal Baths) offering various pools, saunas, salt therapy grottos, massages, skin care procedures, any many other pleasant rituals. You can have a great time in two locations \u2013 near the B\u0142onia Park, under the grandstand of the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium at al. 3 Maja, and at ul. Sodowa.<\/p>\n
